The original apartment required extensive renovation and was fully stripped and re-planned according to the homeowners’ lifestyle.
On the entrance level, the living and dining areas connect to the kitchen through a concealed sliding door, while two en suite children’s bedrooms, a guest WC, and a laundry room complete the floor.
A sense of openness was achieved through the use of bronze framed transparent partitions, mirrored surfaces, and light-toned walls and flooring.
Material choices reinforce the timeless character of the home… custom patterned ceramics in circulation areas, oak parquet flooring in living spaces and bedrooms, and imported ceramics in bathrooms.
The upper level was transformed into a private suite, housing the master bedroom with an open dressing area and bathroom on one side, and a combined study and TV room on the other, anchored by a compact kitchenette at the stair landing.
The interior language remains understated and elegant, supported by layered lighting that includes recessed square spots, wall lights accentuating wood paneling, concealed LEDs within bespoke furniture, and artwork lighting.
Part of the terrace was enclosed to create a winter garden with a fireplace, allowing the Bosphorus view to be enjoyed year round in a warm and intimate setting.
